Mit dem orchestralen Klangpotenzial ihrer Mbira führt Mukwesha auf eine Reise in ein unbekanntes inneres Universum. Mbiramusik verführt das Unterbewußtsein zum Hören, Entspannen und Entdecken. Ist ihr Instrument unbekannt und exotisch, so ist Virginia Mukwesha nah und intim und sehr real. Sie moderiert witzig, charmant und weltoffen. Solo trat sie auch in der Londoner Royal Festival Hall auf:

She explained in her rich Shona accent how she considered the instrument to be like a cellular phone to get in touch with the spirits of the ancestors.
